How do you wear your Nike Air Max?

The 80s were know for their chunky phones and clunky plastic jewellery but it was also when Nike released their Nike Air Max.  The air bubble trainers dominated from sports enthusiasts to international rappers.  However, since Phoebe Phillo appeared at her Celine show in her trade mark Nike trainers, the Air Max is back!

Style Notes: NYFW

The bi-annual event which starts off in New York and works itself across to London, Paris and Milan is the best place to take inspiration, style notes and be in awe of the Fash pack and their stylish-ness.  For each one Fashion Week, I will be compiling my favourites.

Elin Kling is dressed in simple white on black. This is why she has become one of the most influential women in Fashion as well as being the first blogger to design a collection with H&M.

Olivia Palermo - I just cant fault her

Peony Lim clashes stripes, florals with a red coat - a must have for this season. She finishes it off with fur and a Celine.

This is how to wear cream seen on Miroslava Duma.

U g g s

Okay so I know I keep mentioning that summer is slowly disappearing but let me set the scene. It's a Saturday afternoon, about 20 degrees and I'm walking around jacket-less and I spot a pair of chocolate Ugg boots....on a guy. I'm not a fan of Uggs on a good day, on a girl and I was hoping that the Ugg stage had long surpassed  us.

I understand that the sheepskin lined boots are soooo warm and cosy whilst trudging through those puddles on your commute however they are possibly one of the most un-flattering things that can be attached to the lower part of your leg.  I'm not too sure how men go through with purchasing a pair without looking rather shameful at the till and to be honest I don't know if I would take fashion tips from Joey Essex.

So for any men reading this blog that have a pair of Uggs- throw them! And if you are thinking about buying a pair- DON'T!

To help out I have even put together other alternatives to consider.

@ Urban Active Launch by Men's Health

Last night was the launch party of Men's Health's new supplement, Urban Active.  The perfect setting was undoubtedly the men's sports and fashion on the fifth floor at Harrods.  Between the rails and displays of clothing, there were OnePiece break dancers, an Orlebar Brown ping pong table, a driving simulator in Hackett, DJs in All Saints and Diamond Era, a photo booth in Canada Goose and the pièce de résistance; the Urban Active models!

The magazine is aimed at the modern man, amalgamating sports and luxury fashion in 100 pages.

Too warm for Canada Goose

As the evening went on and more mini champagne bottles consumed, the party really kicked off. The music was pumping, guests were becoming more competitive on the arcade games and a crowd had formed round the ultimate ping pong match!  And did I mention that Mr Hudson decided to get up on the decks?

I now don't see any excuse for men to dress badly...

@Frankspeckham

With 2 weeks left until Frank’s Café closes its doors for winter, I ventured out to the 10th floor of a multi-storey car park in Peckham.  Opened as part of the Bold Tendencies Exhibition in 2007, Frank Boxer clearly saw a unique opportunity for another great roof top bar.  With the location being on top of a car park, any bench you take up is the best bench in the house, with spectacular views of London.  With an aperol spritz in hand and a spot on the bench it was the perfect Saturday afternoon.
